The domestic indices displayed resilience, thanks to robust gains in information technology and banking sector stocks. However, broader indices faced heavy selling pressure, particularly affecting lending companies like Power Finance Corporation Ltd, REC Ltd, IREDA Ltd following the RBI’s tightening of rules for lending.

At 10:55 am, the BSE Sensex surged 0.39% reaching a level of 74,172. The Nifty 50 index gained 0.20% to the 22,521 level. On the Sensex, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Consultancy Services and IndusInd Bank were among the top gainers, whereas Titan, State Bank of India and NTPC Ltd were among the market draggers.

  • Odyssey Technologies Ltd

Shares of Odyssey Technologies Ltd witnessed a 21-fold surge in trading volume, soaring 20% today to reach an intraday high of Rs 102.63, edging closer to its 52-week high of Rs 103.85 per share on the BSE. The company operates in the software development sector with a primary focus on information security products. It has core competencies in public key infrastructure, internetworking, cryptography and authentication solutions.

  • Amic Forging Ltd

Shares of Amic Forging Ltd, witnessing a five-fold surge in trading volume, were locked at a 5% upper circuit at Rs 847.95 per share on the BSE during the early trades of the trading session. The company manufactures precision machined components such as rounds, shafts, blanks, and complete finished engineering spare parts like gear coupling, hub, round, flange, and other engineering spares.

  • Britannia Industries Ltd

Shares of Britannia Industries Ltd, with a notable increase in buying interest, climbed more than 4% today, touching an intraday high of Rs 4,959 per share on the BSE. It is one of India’s leading food companies with a strong legacy, and its product portfolio includes biscuits, bread, cakes, rusk, and dairy products, including cheese, beverages, milk, and yogurt.
