The domestic indices experienced a significant downturn, primarily influenced by losses in the telecommunication, utilities, oil & gas, and financial services sectors. While the majority of sectors faced notable declines, IT, metals and capital goods emerged as the only sectors making gains. Broader indices followed suit, aligning with the main indices’ downward trajectory.

At 10:10 am, the BSE Sensex fell 0.57%, reaching a level of 72,210. The Nifty 50 index tumbled 0.54% to the 21,935 level. On the Sensex, Axis Bank, HCL Technologies and Tata Steel were among the top gainers, whereas Bharti Airtel, Power Grid Corporation of India, and Asian Paints were among the market draggers.

  • Eureka Forbes Ltd

The trading volume of shares of Eureka Forbes Ltd surged over 90 times, while the shares experienced a modest decline, reaching an intraday low of Rs 498 per share on the BSE. It ranks among the top manufacturers of home appliances. The company operates in the health and hygiene sector, offering a range of products including water purifiers, vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, and home security systems.

  • Veerhealth Care Ltd

Veerhealth Care Ltd witnessed an extraordinary 11-fold increase in trading volume, propelling its shares to climb around 8% amidst an otherwise lackluster market, reaching an intraday high of Rs 24.39 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in pharmaceuticals and focuses on the manufacturing and marketing of research-based Ayurvedic medicines.

  • Grauer & Weil (India) Ltd

Grauer & Weil (India) Ltd experienced a notable surge in buying interest, leading its shares to be temporarily locked at the 20% upper circuit, achieving a 52-week high of Rs 195.95 per share on the BSE. The company operates in the manufacturing and sale of surface finishing and engineering solutions, with its business segments encompassing paints, chemicals, and lubricants.
