TVS SCS Strengthening Operational Capability: Delivered 500,000 CKD’s

Recently, the company announced the completion of its 500,000th CKD (Complete Knock-Down) kit for its esteemed client, TVS Motor Company. This significant milestone was accomplished at TVS SCS’s dedicated warehouse facility strategically located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This state-of-the-art facility boasts an impressive 150,000 square feet of space, designed and equipped to ensure flawless product dispatches and eliminate the risk of parts mismatch.

TVS SCS offers comprehensive value-added services, including production planning, quality control, inbound material operations, kitting, reverse logistics, export, and more, at its Hosur location. In July 2022, the completely automated facility reached its first milestone—100,000 CKD kits. It then showed that it was adding one lakh kits to the milestone every five months in a systematic manner.

The CKD kits produced by TVS SCS cater to TVS Motor Company’s extensive network of 26 export markets spanning Asia and Africa. By leveraging its ultra-modern, tech-driven facility, TVS SCS empowers TVS Motor Company to strengthen its global export capabilities through efficient CKD assembly.

TVS SCS’s workforce plays a crucial role in its success story. Currently, their Hosur facility employs a team of approximately 220 personnel across various production departments. It’s noteworthy that this workforce includes 30 women employees who actively contribute to the meticulous processes involved in packing, quality control, and binning of CKD kits.
