Ramco System Strengthed Its Global Presence By Partnering With Korean Air

Global aviation software expert Ramco Systems Ltd. announced on April 10, 2024, that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Korean Air, the nation’s flag carrier and biggest airline, to install its flagship product, Ramco Aviation Suite, at the engine maintenance centre. The official announcement of this association was made during MRO Americas 2024 in Chicago.

Following the airline’s announcement that it would be building a new engine maintenance and repair facility in Unbuk, close to Incheon International Airport, came this engagement. All engine maintenance and repair (MRO) capabilities are consolidated into a single cluster at this facility, which bills itself as the largest engine maintenance factory in Asia. With this expansion, Korean Air hopes to add three more engine types to its fleet, bringing the total number of engine models on which it presently performs maintenance and repair (MRO) to six.

A number of outdated systems will be replaced with Ramco’s aviation software, streamlining operations in the company’s current engine shops and future expansion sites. Ramco Aviation will be the technical cornerstone of Korean Air, providing integrated e-publications and extensive MRO-specific functions on a single platform that is provided as an out-of-the-box solution. Digital enablers include mobility through Anywhere apps, HUBs, dashboards, and other interfaces with the ecosystem products powered by Ramco. Ramco’s ecosystem products will also assist the airline’s engine repair centre.

Ramco’s comprehensive engine maintenance and repair (MRO) solution will support the airline’s present and future growth objectives, enhance its aircraft engine maintenance capabilities, and secure its place in the MRO market.
