On May 9, 2024, Infosys Ltd informed the stock exchanges that they had signed a strategic three-year partnership with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship as its official Digital Innovation Partner.

ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is the global motorsport championship for electric cars. Through this alliance, Infosys will provide in-race analytics, enhance sustainability reporting and tracking and unlock fan engagement experiences for the Formula E championship.

Infosys stated that this partnership with Formula E will focus on three core areas:

  1. Fan growth: With the aim of entertaining 500 million fans by 2030, Infosys will assist in building an AI-powered Fan Customer Data Platform for Formula E to open deep fan engagement and personalisation opportunities. This will enable Formula E to better serve its fan base worldwide.
  2. Real-time insights: Using Infosys Topaz, an AI-driven suite, the collaboration seeks to provide live insights and driver stats, elevating fan experience and engagement during races.
  3. Data management: To support Formula E’s goal of reducing carbon emissions by 45% by 2030, Infosys aims to enhance the sport’s carbon reporting using AI, ensuring data accuracy and setting sustainability benchmarks.

Infosys added that, as a brand, it has been partnered with the global tennis ecosystem for nine years through strong alliances with Roland-Garros, ATP, the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and the Australian Open. It also continues to drive brand momentum through its collaboration with Madison Square Garden, which includes key MSG properties, the New York Knicks, the Madison Square Garden Arena, and the New York Rangers. Through all these associations, Infosys has successfully shown how the company brings the advantages of AI in sports to life.
