On April 16, 2024, Infosys, a global leader in digital consulting and services, announced the successful completion of a complex technology separation project for Team Global Express, an Australian express logistics business. This strategic move involved separating Team Global Express’ technology infrastructure from that of its former parent organisation.

Leveraging expertise from Infosys Cobalt, a suite of cloud-centric services and solutions, Infosys designed a seamless migration process. This included establishing a brand-new “greenfield” technology environment and migrating over 300 applications critical to Team Global Express’ operations. The migration encompassed not just applications but also network integration across more than 100 sites, ensuring a smooth transition with zero business disruption for Team Global Express’ 4,000-plus users.

Beyond the migration itself, the project addressed Team Global Express’ long-term technological needs. By implementing a “cloud-first” strategy, Infosys helped modernise the overall technology landscape and reduce technical debt inherited from the previous ownership. This strategic shift positions Team Global Express for future growth and innovation powered by a sustainable and energy-efficient cloud infrastructure.

This successful project showcases Infosys’ ability to manage complex technology separations while ensuring business continuity. The modern, cloud-centric foundation established for Team Global Express positions them for agility and scalability in the ever-evolving logistics landscape.
