On April 26, 2024, GTPL Hathway Limited, a leading Multi-System Operator (MSO) in India through an exchange filing, launched an updated version of its WhatsApp bot, GIVA, integrating advanced AI capabilities. As part of GTPL Hathway’s commitment to drive excellence through cutting-edge digital innovations, the upgraded bot is designed to automate customer support, enable self-service, and provide after-sales services.

The company’s 12 million+ Digital Cable TV and a million+ Broadband customers in India will have seamless, hyper-personalised experiences from the user-friendly chatbot, which is powered by Yellow.ai, a global leader in generative AI-powered customer service automation.

First, the AI chatbot offers full-fledged customer care automation on WhatsApp by utilising Yellow.ai’s Dynamic Automation Platform (DAP). Next, it offers chatbots on Facebook and the GTPL app and website. Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali are the next six languages that will be added soon to accommodate a wider range of customer preferences. Currently, it provides round-the-clock support to new and existing customers in three languages: English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Furthermore, full backend connectivity with payment gateways, CRM, and other current support systems is made possible.

The user will be able to use Cashfree Payments’ WhatsApp Pay solution to make payments thanks to the upgraded GIVA that is available on the platform. Through this custom payment interface with Cashfree, GTPL customers will be able to pay for and renew additional services inside the WhatsApp app in addition to renewing their current subscriptions.
