As per SEBI guidelines, w.e.f 30-Dec-23, all the off-market transactions will be executed only if the Buyer’s Demat Account is added as the beneficiary under the Seller’s Demat Account. 

Here is an online method a seller can register a buyer’s account as a beneficiary:

a. Login to your Easi/Easiest Account

b. Initiate registration using the below steps:

  • Step 1: Log in to CDSL Easiest page (https://web.cdslindia.com/myeasitoken/Home/Login)
  • Step 2: You must register for Easiest to add the Buyer beneficiary demat account.
  • Step 3: Enter username & password.
  • Step 4: Go to Transaction -> Click on BO Linking -> BO Linking setup
  • Step 5: Add the respective Buyer Beneficiary demat account and PAN details and click on submit.
  • Step 6: You will now receive an option to either ‘OTP Authentication’ or ‘Cancel’ the registration
  • Step 7: If you select ‘OTP Authentication,’ you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email address
  • Step 8: Enter the OTP, and the registration will be complete
  • Step 9: Angel One will approve your request within the stipulated time.
  • Step 10: After Angel One and CDSL approval, you can execute the off-market/inter-depository transaction.
  • Step 11: Now, verify the buyer details displayed on the screen.
