Sep Auto Sales: TVS Motor Company Achieves Record-Breaking Sales in Q2FY26

TVS Motors’ two-wheeler segment saw robust growth of 22%, with sales rising from 11.90 lakh units in Q2 FY25 to 14.54 lakh units in Q2 FY26.

During the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26, TVS Motor Company reported its highest-ever quarterly sales, reaching an impressive 15.07 lakh units.

The company’s two-wheeler segment saw robust growth of 22%, with sales rising from 11.90 lakh units in Q2 FY25 to 14.54 lakh units in Q2 FY26. Meanwhile, the three-wheeler segment delivered exceptional performance, growing by 41%, with sales increasing from 0.38 lakh units to 0.53 lakh units over the same period. Export sales also demonstrated strong momentum, climbing 30% from 3.09 lakh units in Q2 FY25 to 4.00 lakh units in Q2 FY26.

September Auto Sales Performance

In September 2025, TVS Motor Company recorded sales of 541,064 units, marking a healthy 12% increase compared to 482,495 units in September 2024.

Two-Wheeler Segment

The two-wheeler category experienced an 11% growth, with sales rising from 471,792 units in September 2024 to 523,923 units in September 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 12%, increasing from 369,138 units to 413,279 units.

  • Motorcycles registered a 9% increase, growing from 229,268 units to 249,621 units.
  • Scooters posted an even stronger growth of 17%, with sales rising from 186,751 units to 218,928 units.

Three-Wheeler Segment

The three-wheeler segment demonstrated outstanding growth of 60%, with sales climbing from 10,703 units in September 2024 to 17,141 units in September 2025.

Electric Vehicles (EV)

EV sales grew by 8%, from 28,901 units in September 2024 to 31,266 units in September 2025. However, the company continues to face short- to medium-term challenges related to magnet availability.

International Business

The company’s export division recorded a 10% growth, with sales increasing from 111,007 units in September 2024 to 122,108 units in September 2025. Specifically, two-wheeler exports grew by 8%, rising from 102,654 units to 110,644 units.
