Nifty 50 Opens in Green on Oct 27; Reliance and SBI Life Lead Gains

On October 27, 2025, the Nifty 50 opened on a positive note at 25,843.20 and moved between 25,827.00 and 25,905.30 during early trade. At 9:36 AM, the index stood at 25,900.35, up 105.20 points or 0.41% from the previous close of 25,795.15. Market breadth favoured the bulls with 34 advances, 16 declines, and one stock unchanged, reflecting overall positive sentiment.

Top Gainers

SBI Life Insurance led the gains, rising 3.16% to ₹1,898.00 after hitting a high of ₹1,923.90. Reliance Industries followed, up 1.55% at ₹1,474.10 on strong trading volume worth ₹192.09 crore. Tata Steel also traded higher at ₹176.57, gaining 1.22%, supported by firm metal prices. Bharti Airtel added 1.18% at ₹2,053.30, while Tata Motors (TMPV) advanced 1.19% to ₹408.10.

Top Losers

ONGC fell 0.69% to ₹253.20. Bajaj Finance slipped 0.70% to ₹1,082.15 after a strong previous session. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories declined 0.72% to ₹1,274.30, and BEL lost 0.84% at ₹418.50 amid profit booking. Kotak Mahindra Bank was also under pressure, down 1.15% at ₹2,161.90.

Sectoral Trends

The broader market saw buying across metals, telecom, and financials, while energy and pharma stocks remained subdued.
