Mother Dairy Managing Director, Manish Bandlish, announced that the company has implemented GST reductions across more than 150 products. The cuts cover categories such as dairy, Safal, pickles, coconut water, and tomato puree.

“These changes have been implemented across multiple channels as of today morning, and we are already seeing good traction from the customers,” Bandlish told CNBC TV18.

Price Reductions for Consumers

The GST cuts have translated into direct relief for consumers. Key reductions include:

  • Butter (500g): price reduced from ₹305 to ₹285
  • Ghee: reduced by ₹30–40 per kg

Bandlish noted that over 90% of these changes have already been rolled out across retail booths and online platforms, with staff trained to address consumer queries.

Boost to Festival Demand

The company expects the lower prices to spur festival season demand, with Bandlish projecting a 10–15% seasonal jump in sales. He said consumer confidence is improving as the tax benefits are being passed on fully.

Positive Impact on Dairy Ecosystem

Highlighting the wider benefits, Bandlish said the GST cuts are expected to support nearly 10 lakh farmers supplying milk to Mother Dairy. Increased demand will strengthen the dairy supply chain and provide stability across the ecosystem.
