Farmers across India are eagerly anticipating the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, under which ₹2,000 is set to be credited directly into beneficiaries’ accounts. The next instalment is expected to be disbursed in November 2025.

Launched in February 2019, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides eligible farmers with ₹6,000 per year, distributed in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. The scheme uses the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring that funds are transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account, reducing delays and middlemen.

States That Have Already Received the 21st Instalment

Special disbursements of the 21st instalment have already been made for farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand, following the devastating floods and landslides in September 2025. Additionally, the instalment was released to Jammu and Kashmir on October 7, 2025.

Who is Eligible for the PM-KISAN Scheme?

To receive the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme, a farmer must:

  • Be an Indian citizen.
  • Own cultivable land with valid land records.
  • Link Aadhaar to their bank account and complete eKYC verification for seamless fund transfer.

Farmers who are income tax payers, pensioners, or government/public sector employees are not eligible for the scheme.

How to Check PM-KISAN Beneficiary Status?

Farmers can easily verify their beneficiary status by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official PM-Kisan website.
  2. Navigate to the Beneficiary Status page.
  3. Click on “Beneficiary Status”.
  4. Enter your Aadhaar number or bank account number.
  5. Click “Get Data”.
  6. Your beneficiary details will appear on the screen.
  7. Check the payment status to confirm whether the instalment has been credited.

This simple process allows farmers to track their payments in real time and ensures transparency in the scheme’s disbursement.
