The Maharashtra government’s flagship ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ provides ₹1,500 monthly to eligible women. With e-KYC verification facing technical challenges, the Women and Child Development Department is extending deadlines to ensure all beneficiaries, especially in flood-hit areas, can complete their registration without hurdles.

Ladki Bahin E-KYC Deadline Update

Maharashtra Minister Aditi Tatkare has announced that the November deadline for completing e-KYC under the Ladki Bahin scheme will be extended by 15 days for women residing in flood affected regions. This step aims to ensure that no eligible woman misses out due to technical or logistical issues caused by recent flooding.

Significant improvements are also being made to the e-KYC server system to make the verification process faster and smoother for all beneficiaries.

About the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana

Launched by the Women and Child Development Department, the scheme is designed to empower women aged 21 to 65 by providing a monthly financial benefit of ₹1,500 directly through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

The scheme also aims to improve women’s health and nutrition, while strengthening their decision-making role within households.

Ensuring No Beneficiary Is Left Behind

Minister Tatkare emphasised that resolving technical issues during the e-KYC process is a priority. With server improvements and the additional 15-day window for flood-affected areas, the government is committed to making sure every eligible woman can complete her registration and receive the benefits without delays.
