Diwali Muhurat Trading Tomorrow

While the markets are open today, the official Diwali holiday for exchanges falls tomorrow, October 21. On that day, regular trading will remain closed, but a special one-hour session known as Muhurat Trading will be conducted between 1:45 pm and 2:45 pm. This annual ritual marks the beginning of the new Samvat year and is considered auspicious for making fresh investments.

Holiday Schedule Around Diwali

Following the Diwali Laxmi Pujan on October 21, the stock markets will also remain closed on Wednesday, October 22, in observance of Balipratipada, the day following Diwali. Normal trading activities will resume from Thursday, October 23, 2025.

After Diwali, the next scheduled stock market holiday will be on November 5, 2025, on account of Prakash Gurpurb Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti. The last trading holiday of the year will fall on December 25, 2025, for Christmas.
