GE Shipping Operational Highlights

Private shipliner Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd reported a 60% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit, which fell to ₹363 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, according to a regulatory filing on Friday (May 9). In the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, the company had posted a net profit of ₹905 crore. The company also saw its revenue from operations decline by 18.3%, down to ₹1,223 crore, compared to ₹1,497 crore in the corresponding period of the prior fiscal.

The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has successfully delivered its 2011-built Supramax dry bulk carrier “Jag Rishi” to the buyers. The vessel had been contracted for sale in January 2025.

Following the delivery of Jag Rishi, the company’s fleet now comprises 38 vessels, which include 26 tankers—split into 5 crude carriers, 17 product carriers, and 4 LPG carriers—and 12 dry bulk carriers, consisting of 2 Capesize, 8 Kamsarmax, and 2 Supramax vessels. The total carrying capacity stands at approximately 3.04 million deadweight tonnes (dwt).
