Besides capital appreciation from staying invested over a period, positional investors also earn from other sources like dividend earnings. In September 2022, several companies announced dividend payouts to investors. Here is a list of upcoming dividend stocks that will trade at the ex-dividend rate next week.

So, what are dividends?

What are dividend stocks?

A dividend refers to a company’s earnings distribution to its shareholders. The board of directors recommends and approves the dividend amount. The dividend yield is the dividend per share calculated as the share’s price percentage.

Usually, companies announce interim and final dividends. It is either paid as cash or reinvested in additional stocks.

Dividend stocks usually see high demand and liquidity. These stocks allow investors to create a source of secondary income. Dividend shows the company’s stability and ability to generate continuous profit.
