About Bajaj Consumer Care

History

Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (earlier known as Bajaj Corp Ltd) is a leading FMCG company and is a part of the Shishir Bajaj Group of companies. Bajaj Corp Ltd’s journey began on April 25, 2006, as Bhaumik Agro Products Pvt Ltd. In September 2007, the company adopted the name Bajaj Corp Private Ltd. In 2008, BCCL established its first manufacturing facility in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh. 

In August 2010, it conducted a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) where it raised approximately ₹3 billion. In 2013, it acquired the skincare brand Nomarks from Ozone Ayurvedics. In 2013-14, the company operated rural vans covering about 10,000 villages and semi-urban towns per month to increase its brand reach. 

In 2015-16, the company invested in building capacities for sachets and automation in the Amla and Nomarks lines to increase productivity. In the same year, the company signed the TV actress Dhrashti Dhami as the brand ambassador for its Bajaj Brahmi Amla Ayurvedic Hair oil. In FY 2019, the name of the company was changed to Bajaj Consumer Care Limited from the erstwhile name Bajaj Corp Limited.

In 2020, Bajaj Consumer Care introduced the Bajaj Zero Grey Hair Oil to its product line-up and expanded its rural distribution through its van operations. In 2021, the company expanded its hair oil portfolio with the launch of Bajaj Amla Aloe Vera Hair Oil, Pure Coconut Oil and Sarson Amla Hair Oil. Additionally, it ventured into the digital space with the launch of Bajaj 100% Pure and Natyv Soul. In 2022, the company introduced Bajaj Coco Onion Hair Oil and made Kiara Advani its brand ambassador for Almond Drops Hair Oil. In 2023, they launched of Gurukul and Neev, a sales capability development programme.

  1. Hair oil – Under this category, the company offers:
    1. Coconut Oils: Brands under this category include Bajaj 100% Pure Coconut Oil, and Coco Onion, a value-added product.
    2. Amla Oil: Brands launched in this category include Amla Aloe Vera in 2021 and Sarson Amla in 2022. 
    3. Digital First Brands: This category includes 2 brands:
      1. Bajaj 100% Pure Oil: These include oils which do not have any chemicals or additives. In this category, they offer castor, jojoba, olive and kalonji oils.
      2. Natyv Soul: These are oils made from natural, yet exotic ingredients.
  2. Skincare products – The main brand in this category is Nomarks. Products under this brand include hand sanitiser, face scrub, cream, soap, serum, etc. They also sell Bajaj Gulab Jal.
  3. Others – They also produce oral care products under the brand name Bajaj Black Tooth Powder. 

In its accounts, the company operates only in one segment, namely “Cosmetics, Toiletries and Other Personal Care products”. They market their products both through their in-house sales team as well as the sales personnel employed through their distributors.

  3. Bajaj Corp International (FZE) – It is a wholly owned subsidiary for international operations, based out of the UAE.
