One Mobikwik Systems Ltd announced its financial results for the September 2025 quarter, reporting a net loss of ₹29 crore, compared to ₹4 crore in the same quarter last year. The decline in profitability was primarily driven by exceptional provisions made to address fraud-related losses. The company recognised ₹11.8 crore in provisions during the quarter following the detection of fraudulent transactions worth ₹40.4 crore in Haryana.

An FIR was filed in the matter, leading to the recovery of ₹21.9 crore, while an additional ₹6.6 crore has been secured through merchant affidavits and court orders. The company confirmed that the remaining ₹11.8 crore has been fully accounted for under “exceptional items.”

Operational Performance in Q2 FY2025-26

Revenue from operations during the September quarter stood at ₹270 crore, marking a 7% decline year-on-year compared to ₹291 crore during the same period last year. On a sequential basis, revenue remained largely stable against ₹271.3 crore reported in the June quarter.

The company’s EBITDA loss widened to ₹15.7 crore, compared to ₹4 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Despite the challenges, the company continues to maintain focus on strengthening its operational framework, improving digital security measures, and streamlining processes across its payment and financial service network.

Fraud Case and Recovery Measures

The fraud case identified in Haryana involved unauthorised transactions by certain users, impacting the company’s quarterly performance. Following a detailed investigation, authorities and internal teams have been working towards recovery and legal proceedings.

The recovery efforts have yielded significant results so far, with a major portion of the funds already secured through formal channels. The financial provision set aside by the company ensures adequate coverage of potential losses, while the investigation continues for complete recovery.
