Elcid Investments, known as one of India’s most expensive stocks, has declared the record date for its dividend payment. The company announced that Wednesday, July 23, 2025, will be the record date to determine which shareholders are eligible to receive the dividend for FY2024–25.
During its March quarter results, Elcid declared a final dividend of ₹25 per share with a face value of ₹10 each. This marks the third consecutive year the company has paid ₹25 per share to its shareholders.
The company’s stock has seen extreme volatility in recent months. After relisting on October 29, 2024, Elcid’s shares skyrocketed by over 66 lakh percent because of a special call auction mechanism introduced by BSE to help price discovery for investment holding companies.
This caused the stock to jump to ₹236,250 per share and later to an all-time high of ₹316,597. Since then, the price has dropped sharply by about 56%, and currently trades around ₹140,299 per share.
Elcid Investments is a non-banking financial company (NBFC) registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It mainly holds shares in other listed companies rather than running active business operations. Due to low liquidity and thin trading volumes, such investment companies often trade at significant discounts to their actual book value.

As of July 8, 2025, Elcid Investments share price is trading at ₹1,40,121 per share, down ₹1,638.84 or 1.16% today. The stock opened at ₹1,41,000, touched a high of ₹1,41,759.84, and a low of ₹1,39,921. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹2,800 crore, a P/E ratio of 18.32, and no dividend yield.
Over the past month, the share price has gained ₹10,573.40 or 8.16%. In the last 6 months, it has fallen by ₹37,528.50 or 21.13%. Over one year, it is down ₹96,129 or 40.69%. However, in the past 5 years, the stock has surged an extraordinary ₹1,40,110.99, delivering a massive return of 1,399,710.19%.
While Elcid Investments continues to reward shareholders with consistent dividends, its stock price history highlights the risks of low-liquidity shares. Investors should be cautious and consider the stock’s volatility before taking any position.
