Edelweiss Mutual Fund has filed draft documents for a new scheme called the Edelweiss Multi Asset Omni Fund of Fund. It is an open-ended fund of funds (FoF) that will invest in a mix of equity-oriented schemes, debt-oriented schemes, and Gold & Silver ETFs.
The fund falls under the hybrid FoF category with both active and passive allocations.
The scheme will allocate between 65-80% in equity-oriented schemes, 10-25% in debt-oriented schemes, and 10-25% in Gold and Silver ETFs. Up to 5% may be held in money market instruments or liquid schemes. At least 95% of the assets will be invested in underlying mutual fund schemes under normal circumstances.
The scheme’s benchmark is a weighted blend: 65% Nifty500 TRI, 15% CRISIL Composite Bond Fund Index, 10% domestic gold price, and 10% domestic silver price. This composition mirrors the fund’s exposure across asset classes.
The fund will be jointly managed by Bhavesh Jain and Bharat Lahoti. Investors can choose between Regular and Direct Plans, each offering Growth and IDCW (Income Distribution cum Capital Withdrawal) options. The default option will be Growth.
The minimum application amount is ₹100 during the New Fund Offer (NFO) and on an ongoing basis. SIP, STP, and SWP facilities start at ₹100. An exit load of 1% will be applicable if redeemed within 90 days from the date of allotment; no exit load will apply thereafter.
The fund will not invest in derivatives, overseas securities, REITs, or structured obligations. It will not engage in securities lending or short selling. The total expense ratio will not exceed 2.25% of daily net assets. NAVs will be published daily on Edelweiss and AMFI websites.
