HAL Q4 FY25 Earnings Results: Revenue Down by 7.24% YoY

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), India’s leading defence company, announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ending March 2025. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,976.66 crore, which is about 8% lower than ₹4,308.71 crore earned in the same period last year.

Revenue Down by 7% in Q4

HAL’s revenue from operations fell 7.24% YoY to ₹13,699.85 crore, compared to ₹14,768.75 crore in the previous year’s March quarter. This marks a slight slowdown in the company’s business during the last quarter of FY25.

Expenses and Earnings per Share Fall

HAL's total expenses dropped 4.12% YoY to ₹9,149.88 crore. Meanwhile, earnings per share (EPS) for Q4FY25 declined to ₹59.46, down from ₹64.43 a year ago.

Standalone Numbers Also Show Decline

On a standalone basis, HAL's Q4 profit declined nearly 8% to ₹3,958.25 crore, and revenue dipped 7% to ₹13,699.87 crore.

EBITDA and Margins See a Dip

HAL’s EBITDA dropped 10% YoY to ₹5,292 crore, with the EBITDA margin falling to 38.6% from 40% in the previous year’s quarter.

Full-Year (FY25) Performance Stronger

Despite the Q4 slowdown, HAL had a better performance for the full year. Net profit for FY25 rose 9.75% to ₹8,364.13 crore from ₹7,621.05 crore in FY24. Revenue for the year increased 2% to ₹30,980.95 crore.

Total Assets See Big Growth

The company's total assets grew significantly to ₹1,06,266.85 crore in FY25, compared to ₹78,095.18 crore in FY24.

Share Price and Dividend Update

On May 14, HAL share price was trading 3% higher at ₹4,749 around 2:10 PM. The company had earlier announced a first interim dividend of ₹25 per share (₹5 face value) for FY25 at its board meeting held on February 12, 2025.

Conclusion

While HAL faced pressure in the March quarter with lower profit and revenue, its full-year performance remained strong. The company’s growing asset base and steady annual growth reflect long-term resilience. Investors also welcomed the ₹25 interim dividend, pushing the stock higher.
