5Paise Capital Ltd, established on July 10, 2007, initially had the name India Infoline Finance Holdings Limited upon its incorporation as a public company. The commencement certificate for its business operations was issued on July 19, 2007. Later, the company underwent a name change to IIFL Capital Limited on November 06, 2007, and eventually rebranded to 5paisa Capital Limited on August 12, 2015.

5paisa Capital Ltd., initially a part of IIFL Holdings, made its independent entry into the stock markets, listing on both the BSE and NSE in November 2017.
