Bharat Forge Ltd has entered into an agreement with Pratt & Whitney Canada to set up a new aerospace ring mill, as per the reports. The facility is expected to be operational by 2026 and will focus on manufacturing components for aero-engine applications.

Focus on Domestic and Global Aerospace

The ring mill will serve both Indian and international aerospace programmes. It will produce precision-engineered components using advanced technologies and will adhere to global standards for quality and traceability.

This is part of Bharat Forge’s expansion into high-value manufacturing for the aerospace sector. The company already has experience in forging and precision engineering, and the new facility adds to its capabilities in this segment.

Collaboration Targets Supply Chain

The partnership aims to strengthen the global aerospace supply chain. Both companies will contribute to the production of components that meet international requirements, with Bharat Forge playing a larger role in future aerospace manufacturing programmes.

Pratt & Whitney’s  Presence in India

Pratt & Whitney has had operations in India for over 70 years. The company currently employs over 800 people in the country, working across areas related to engine development and aerospace technologies.

"This underscores our commitment to building a resilient global supply chain and advancing India's aerospace ecosystem," stated Frederic Lefebvre, Vice President, Supply Chain, Pratt and Whitney Canada, as per the PTI report.
