The festive season is upon us, and Diwali is just around the corner. As we worship the goddess of wealth, Laxmi, on the day of Diwali, it is considered auspicious to make financial transactions on that day. It is customary for the Indian bourses to organise special trading sessions on the day of Diwali, following the Hindu tradition and sentiment of the investors as they believe making winning deals on Diwali will bring prosperity and wealth.
Following the tradition MCX, Multi Commodity Exchange of India organised special muhurat trading on the day of Diwali. MCX’s mahurat trading session this year will happen on November 14, 2020.
What Is Muhurat Trading?
Many investors believe that trading on the auspicious day of Diwali, when Laxmi poojan happens, will bring them good luck throughout the year. Indian bourses organise special evening trading session on that day, which is called muhurat trading session. They notify traders about the day, date, and timing of the session in advance.
This year’s Diwali will be celebrated on Saturday, which is a holiday for the exchanges. But for muhurat trading, bourses will open for the special session. The Multi Commodity Exchange Of India has published details regarding the muhurat trading in 2020. We have mentioned the details below.
