The domestic indices started the week on a downward trend, affected by notable declines in the information technology, consumer durables, real estate and metal sectors. Amidst a general weakness across most sectors, BSE Power, BSE Utilities, and BSE Capital Goods emerged as the only sectoral indices to register gains.

At 10:20 am, the BSE Sensex declined 0.36%, reaching a level of 72,877. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.32% to the 22,141 level. On the Sensex, Larsen & Toubro, Power Grid Corporation of India and Tata Motors were among the top gainers, whereas Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, and Axis Bank were among the market draggers.

  • Indo Count Industries Ltd

Indo Count Industries Ltd witnessed a threefold increase in trading volume, propelling its shares up by over 8% to reach a 52-week high of Rs 351.50 per share on the BSE. Specializing in manufacturing and exporting bed sheets, bed linen, and quilts, the company boasts a diverse product range in the premium segment, including bed sheets, fashion bedding, utility bedding, and institutional bedding.

  • Voltamp Transformers Ltd

Voltamp Transformers Ltd experienced a surge in trading volume, leading its shares to climb more than 11% amidst a subdued market, reaching a 52-week high of Rs 9,139.45 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in the manufacturing of electrical transformers, offering a product range that includes oil-filled power and distribution transformers, as well as dry-type transformers.

  • Adani Energy Solutions Ltd

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd witnessed a remarkable rise in trading volume, resulting in a gain of over 5%, surging to an intraday high of Rs 1,142.85 per share on the BSE. The company operates in the power transmission and distribution sector, specializing in the establishment, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of electric power transmission systems across India.
