In a landmark move to strengthen the digital reach of traditional healthcare, the Ministry of Ayush today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ayush Export Promotion Council (AYUSHEXCIL) and Zepto Limited. This partnership is set to provide structured online access to AYUSH medicines and wellness products across India, while promoting quality compliance and building consumer trust in authentic traditional healthcare offerings.

Signing of MoU

Under the MoU, AYUSHEXCIL will identify and recommend eligible AYUSH manufacturers and review educational content to ensure regulatory compliance. Zepto, in turn, will facilitate product discovery through a dedicated AYUSH storefront on its platform. The partnership also includes joint consumer awareness campaigns and promotion of recognised quality standards, including the AYUSH Quality Mark (AQM).

Highlights of the MoU

  • Dedicated AYUSH Storefront on Zepto: Provides easy access to verified AYUSH medicines and wellness products for consumers nationwide.
  • Quality Assurance: Encourages adherence to the AYUSH Quality Mark, ensuring certified standards, authenticity, and product integrity.
  • Support for MSMEs: AYUSHEXCIL will recommend eligible manufacturers, with a focus on micro, small, and medium enterprises, for seamless digital onboarding.
  • Consumer Awareness Initiatives: Joint campaigns to promote authentic information and responsible usage of AYUSH products.
  • Educational Content Collaboration: Development and dissemination of credible AYUSH knowledge, validated by AYUSHEXCIL, through Zepto’s platform.
